CASE Construction Equipment reached the milestone of 100 motor graders sold in India in just a year. The grader, a 865B was purchased by Mahalaxmi Infracon Private Limited (MIPL), one of the largest mining overburden removal companies in India.
JCB India unveiled seven new products at the BAUMA CONEXPO INDIA 2016. In the excavators, it launched the JCB 30Plus (3T mini excavator), the JCB 220LC Xtra (22T tracked excavator), the JCB 305LC (30T tracked excavator) and the JCB 370LC (37T hydraulic excavator).
Caterpillar announced the launch of two new products in India in the construction equipment segment. The new products – Cat®320D2 GC hydraulic excavator and 950L wheel loader - will add to the company’s wide product portfolio in these segments in the Indian market.
Comansa CM has launched its first luffing-jib tower crane, CML190 at bauma China 2016. With this brand new model, Comansa CM released the CML Series of luffing-jib cranes, which will be completed in the following months with more cranes.
JLG introduced a range of platforms at bauma China that included its 1100SJ telesopic boom with extreme environment package and newly designed R Series of scissor lifts. It also showed the 1500AJP, the world´s biggest articulating boom, for the first time in Asia.

Genie showcased a pair of scissor lifts at bauma China. The X-Series of scissor lifts, the first under the new branding, initially includes the 12 m working height X-12 and 14 m X-14, has been designed in Genie´s China and US research and development centres and includes structural differences to the scissor stack and chassis, plus a greater number of components locally produced in China.
India´s construction equipment market is currently in the vertical portion of the U trajectory of growth. Many analysts predict a sustained growth in double digits for the next decade, to begin with. Obviously, the allied industry will be an equal partner in this growth story.
