A new quality and development centre is planned to strengthen product development activities at the Mann + Hummel Group’s largest plant in the world producing filters located in Marklkofen, Germany. The company will invest approx EUR 3.5 million in buildings and EUR 1 million in testing equipment. The core of the investment will be a laboratory with measurement facilities in a cleanroom environment. This will enable the group to carry out more comprehensive on site tests on filter elements produced in Marklkofen for the automotive industry and mechanical engineering industry. “Mann + Hummel will invest EUR 4.5 million alone for this project at our location – which is a clear commitment to Marklkofen and a signal indicating trust in our work,” summarises Bernhard Wimmer, Plant Manager.
