The Gates India distributors meet and product launch held recently at Gurgaon provided a common platform for all the distributors of the organisation to come together to interact, share experiences and to explore new business avenues and opportunities that exist in the current market scenario.
Gates India conducted a three-day annual distributors meet, providing a common platform for all the distributors of the organisation to come together to interact, share experiences and to explore new business avenues and opportunities that exist in the current market scenario. Gates also took this opportunity to provide an edge to the organisations portfolio by launching new products in the market. The occasion was graced by Jagjit Singh, Chairman of Imperial Auto, who was the chief guest. All the top distributors of the organisation participated with a lot of zeal and enthusiasm. They not only showed their commitment but also their eagerness by exchanging their market knowledge and information therefore building and cementing the trust and partnership with Gates for years to come.
The first day was reserved for an interaction with the Power Transmission Distributors. About 15 distributors from across the country participated in the meet and used the occasion to present what difference had Gates made to their lives. Informative sessions were used to educate and exchange market specifics. As Dippak Thukral of DNA said, "It was a knowledgeable session where we learnt and shared many things with each other. It is not always about the price of the product; sometimes it`s trust and I have trust on Gates so I choose to be a premium distributor of Gates. Also, the most important thing that helps us to bring more customers is the technology and value proposition used by Gates."
The evening was reserved for celebration as Gates used the platform to launch new products which will constitute a part of Gates portfolio going forward. Jagjit Singh, along with Nitin Kaul, President of Gates in India and Rajesh Bhandari, Vice President, revealed the launch of four new products: the concrete hose, the AG hose, timing pulley and the PU belts. The product launch was followed by a short programme where the best performing distributors and employees were recognised and rewarded for all the hard work they had put around the year. The chief guest as well as other dignitaries congratulated all the distributors and employees on their achievements and motivated them to keep the momentum growing. The night called for a celebration, and the same was facilitated by a colourful Gala Night where every participant enjoyed the evening to the rhythm of the music.
The second day was reserved for an interaction with the Fluid Power Distributors. About 24 distributors came forth to participate in the meet. This fraternity highlight was that four distributors came in with their next generation showing trust with Gates developed over years and for many more years to come. The sessions on the Day 2 provided an opportunity for the distributors to come forward and share not only their experiences but also their concerns for the market and issues at large. They got an opportunity to interact with the sales employees and gather information and knowledge pertaining to various products available in Gates portfolio and its usages.
The third and last day saw the Sales Conference, where all the employees got the opportunity to come together and discuss on the learning's gathered from the two days of interaction with the distributors. This allowed them an opportunity to introspect on their current positions, understand the challenges and gear up for the future. The gathering allowed the leaders to set the tone for the months to come and to discuss and firm up the strategies for the next year.
The product launch and the event was well received, and we are determined that the learning's shared and gathered will help shape up the organisation to get it ready for maintaining leadership in the years to come.
