Enovation Controls announces its newest additions to the Murphy PowerView™ product line - the PV350 and PV380 ValueLCD displays. Targeted at basic HMI and control applications, these displays are suitable for equipment's with both mechanical and the latest Tier 4/Euro Stage IV electronic engines.
The PV300 Series adds to Murphy's existing portfolio of rugged, freely configurable displays for off-highway, stationary and marine applications. The PV380 display opens up a multitude of options to equipment manufacturers. The clearly visible 3.8" LCD display housed in a rugged IP67 casing allows for the unit to be comfortably used even in non-cabin applications like small dozers, excavators, pavers, compactors, compressors, forklift trucks, harvesters and road sweepers just to name a few.

Like other displays in the Murphy PowerView™ product line, the PV300 series use a robust, polycarbonate case that can easily be mounted from the front into a standard 88 mm tachometer (rpm) gauge cut out or in certain cases flush mounted into a dashboard or panel. It also maintains high standards of electrical, environmental and mechanical ruggedness that Murphy is known for. An IP67 casing and a working temperature range from -40 to +85oC makes this an 'any environment' unit. The display can be used in a 6-32 V DC systems. Waterproof IP- rated Deutsch connectors moulded to the rear provide total protection against dust and fluid ingress.
The five-button keypad with tactile feedback enhances user experience and makes navigation through the program menus very comfortable. Equipped with several direct I/O it is an easily programmable display cum controller for basic I/O based decision making. A 500 mA sinking relay output can be used to drive alarms, buzzers and even shutdown the engine on set point based logical decisions taken within the display
Software for total integration
The display can communicate on J1939 CAN bus protocol and simultaneously take in direct I/O from analogue and digital inputs. The data received can then be shown it customer and application specific graphical format designed easily using the Murphy Powervision™ Configuration Suite.

The display can show all transmitted J1939 engine, transmission and other equipment data along with full DM1 and DM2 alarm management through the configuration suite. Icons, round gauges, bar graphs and pop-ups in application and customer specific layouts makes the display extremely user-friendly. Comprehensive multi-language text based fault warnings and acknowledgement system keeps the operator aware of the health of the equipment/engine. Data is available in several formats and measurement units which can be changed by the user through the User Settings.
Pop-ups for service reminders and an inbuilt previous fault memory system ensure that the personnel servicing the equipment can take informed decisions.
Protects mechanical engine
The direct I/O in the PV380 allows the user to easily configure the unit to receive information from wired sensors on mechanical engine-driven equipment. The display can then monitor critical engine parameters like RPM, oil pressure, coolant temp, transmission oil temperature, transmission oil pressure and fuel level etc. Software settable maximum and minimum set points then can be used to automatically trigger alarms and warnings for critical conditions.
As these inputs are configurable, equipment specific sensors like length transducers, proximity sensors, load cells, inclinometers, angle sensors among many can also be directly configured for display, making the PV380 a complete equipment interface unit.
