Allcargo Logistics announced the successful relocation of a critical de-aerator for its client Reliance Power to its Sasan 6 x 660 MW Ultra Mega Power Project (UMPP). The critical aspects of the cargo were the dimensions of the de-aerator 43 x 4.10 x 4.30 m / 147 MT / 141.076 ft and the complexity of the route from Haldia to Sasan in Madhya Pradesh. The 14 Inline Commetto axles along with 9 m spacer with 2 x 520 HP Volvo pullers were used for the activity. The specialist team of Allcargo Project headed by Suhas Labde, Vice President and Melwin Lobo, General Manager - Operations, aced at executing the most critical turnings and overhangs of the cargo at the Ahraura Ghat, which was concurred in three hours. The two were responsible for guiding, meticulous planning and undertaking all safety precautions towards the smooth completion of the same. Allcargo has so far handled seven out of nine power projects of the Reliance Group and bagged contracts for transportation of heavy machineries, customs clearance and port handling of its power plant machineries over the last six years.
