According to the foreign trade monitor of the construction equipment monthly drawn up by Unacea and Prometeia, the Italian export of construction equipment in the first nine months of 2013 has reached €1,811 million, recording a drop of 5.3 per cent compared with the same period in 2012.
The export of earthmoving machines posted a negative growth (-17.4 per cent) while that of crushing and screening equipment reported a negative growth of -5.5 per cent. The export of drilling equipment posted a growth of 11.5 per cent, tower cranes 10.7 per cent, road equipment 9.8 per cent and concrete machines 3.6 per cent. The negative trend of imports continues, with a drop of 14.4 per cent recording €293 million.
The trade balance still shows a relevant surplus of €1,518 million although it loses 3.3 per cent compared to 2012.
