Gautam Infrastructure & Construction Equipments showcased the all new Snake platform during the recently concluded bC India exhibition. The company has emerged as a multi-faceted, multi-dimensional with a leading presence in various segments of the engineering, construction industry, infrastructure development projects. "We have introduced the snake platform, which finds its application in petrochemical projects, chimney projects, heavy chemical industries, oil rigs and other high risers. Earlier, it was not easier to cover the areas which are curved surfaces and safety was the prime concern as well. Now with Snake that can change the angles at any height, both the requirements are taken care of. The mast climber can change its shape if required at any height, let it be at 200 m," says Malay Shah, Associate Technical Head, Gautam Infrastructure & Construction Equipments.
Saurabh Doshi, Marketing Head, added, "This patented product is first of its kind in the country. Gautam Infrastructure is the only one in the country to have this innovative product. The Snake with its 17 m length and its extended version of 46 metres with twin version, finds its place in the Guinness Books of World Record. The record continues to be with Scanclimber."
Speaking about the potential for the newly launched platform, he said, "With India seeing exponential growth in Infrastructure projects, these kinds of machines including the Scanclimber, will see a huge demand over a period of two to three years." According to Saurabh, the response for this product has been quiet good. 'This innovative product has seen a rise in demand and we have been able to book couple of orders at the exhibition itself' he said.

Speaking about the access equipment market, Saurabh said, "The demand for access equipments in India has been steady in the last decade; however, it will see an exponential growth in this decade with high risers, complex structures, coming in. The safety norms have compelled the industry to use access equipment."
Gautam Infrastructure currently offers self-propelled, track-driven, or telescopic boom lifts from 9 to 28 m, scissor lifts which may be battery and/or diesel operated from 5 to 18 m, truck-mounted elevated platforms from 20 to 60 m, mastclimbers, construction hoist, testing hoist up to a height of 300 m.
