Our main focus has always remained on service support to every customer; we offer project -specific and very economical solutions till the completion of the project, says PV Ramdev, Managing Director, Everest Engineering Equipment. Excerpts from the interview.
How do you see Excon 2013?
We look forward to Excon 2013 as a platform to explain how our products and services save time and money to every segment of the construction industry.
What is the demand-supply scenario for tower cranes?
The current market is warming up and shown a growth of eight per cent in a couple of months. We expect another ten per cent increase in the tower crane and passenger hoist requirement within this fiscal.
What is the impact of the de-growth in the real estate sector?
The real estate business has not actually faced a de-growth. Construction is increasing and equipment sales are increasing, so our business growth is doing fine.
Do you mean to say the slowdown has not affected your performance?
The offtake of construction equipment has in fact increased in recent years. With the best service support and knowhow available with us, we are seeing a consistent growth in our business. And we expect more growth momentum based on the way we interact with the customer.
What is your performance in this fiscal so far?
Our performance in this year has been better than expected and we expect to close the fiscal on the same trend. Our project planning for the next two years shows a clear growth potential of 25 per cent in the next fiscal and about 35-40 per cent in the second fiscal.
What helps you achieve this success?
With 22 years of experience, we help the customer in selecting the right equipment according to specific site conditions, get the equipment installed and commissioned properly in time, and provide them the best after sales service till the completion of the project.
We are partners for GJJ, SYM & Finehope, offering various equipments to the whole construction industry. These are proven products worldwide with their own design, manufacturing, and quality testing facility along with worldwide approvals. These are equipment required especially for the towers higher than 200 m and most corporate clients find this to be the best, most economical, with best service provider in India.
What about the devaluation of rupee?
Devaluation of the rupee v/s US dollar has had an impact on import of smaller equipments. Where the heavy tower cranes and high rise passenger hoists are concerned, the customer has to import irrespective of the exchange rate. So we have identified the exact segment to work through this tough time.
Tell us about the solution and services offered by you.
We offer the best quality tower cranes and passenger hoists, as well as provide full service support till the completion of the project. Our main focus always remained on service support to every customer. We offer project specific and very economical solutions till the end of the project.
What are the challenges you face?
The real challenge is to get customers educated for the best economical solutions, to make them understand the benefit of latest technologies v/s time-saving in construction, reduced power consumption, increased speed of equipments, lowest down time, etc.
