According to a company statement, Central Coalfields (CCL) dispatched 10.3 per cent or 4.959 million tonne (mn t) more coal in 2012-13 at 53 mn t compared to last year.
The company dispatched 48.041 mn t coal in 2011-12. In the beginning of financial year 2012-13, the coal stock of CCL was 16.327 mn t, which was liquidated to 4.945 mn t by March 31, 2013 and left with coal stock of 11.382 mn t presently, the statement said.
The subsidiary of Coal India said it registered 8 per cent of growth in wagon loading in 2012-13. The coal production was 48.1 mn t in 2012-13 against 48 mn t last fiscal 2011-12, the statement said.
The first Mini Ratna company of Jharkhand said this is the highest-ever coal production and dispatch in 2012-13. The CCL has observed the Financial Year 2012-13 as Dispatch Year.
