SDLG will be unveiling a new 5 t-rated wheel loader in India during bauma CONEXPO INDIA 2018. "With the Indian government continuing to invest in infrastructure, the new wheel loader will be a great fit for heavy-load applications such as material handling, land clearing and general earthmoving," said Surat Mehta, Head of SDLG Business in India.
Along side the new loader, SDLG will also display the G9138 motor grader and the L946 wheel loader at the exhibition. The G9138 motor grader is the smaller of two motor grader models that SDLG offers in the region and is ideal for construction of smaller municipal or rural roads. The G9138 is powered by a Deutz BF4M1013-15T3R/2 engine that has an output of 111 kW at 2,100 rpm and can reach maximum 39 km/h forward and 24 km/h backward speeds. SDLG launched the L946 wheel loader at Excon in December 2017. It features a maximum 3.5 cu m bucket capacity, a maximum 1 m dumping distance and a 129 kW rated power.
Since 2015, the construction industry in India has grown. Mehta says he expects the trend to continue. "For wheel loaders, SDLG has a strong market position in the 3- to 5-ton range, and we plan to further strengthen our position," Mehta said. "For motor graders, there is potential to grow our customer base as well, with road construction activity levels remaining high in India."
