CIFA, merged with Zoomlion five years ago, is back with a bang celebrating its 85th birthday.
Half a century ago, CIFA developed the world's 1st concrete pump and created a new area of the concrete machinery in the world and went on to become one of the leading global players in the concrete equipment industry. Five years ago when CIFA was merged with Zoomlion, stabled as the 1st in the industry of China and ranked 6th in the global construction machinery manufacture enterprises, the market equations were slowly changing, and today CIFA is back with a bang celebrating its 85th birthday in splendor.
Ing. Davide Cipolla, CEO, CIFA CEO said, "I would like to express my personal thank for your presence here today, to celebrate two special occasions: the 85th anniversary of Cifa foundation and 5 years since the acquisition by Zoomlion group. He added, "In this particular event, to celebrate in a proper way the long history of the company but also to have a look forward to the future, we would like to also present the first steps and results of the Strategic Plan promoted together with Zoomlion with an important investment done and started about one year ago with the target of the Cifa brand repositioning at higher market quality and technological level and the promotion of the Zoomlion brand with the double brand strategy in the concrete machineries international markets."

Today we can see the merge of the two corporations with different cultural backgrounds but consistent in kernel brings success to each other. With the merge of CIFA, Zoomlion improved the international marketing network and built the optimal global supply chain system." Zoomlion has introduced series of carbon-fiber-boom concrete pump, and successfully developed the longest carbon-fiber-boom concrete pump realized the construction application. "After merged with Zoomlion, CIFA minimised the impact of the global financial crisis and bottomed out firstly in the European and American counterparts. In these 3 years, CIFA's operating profit compound growth rate is 200 per cent, which refreshed the record of the business performance and showed a new image of well-operated and sustainable development."
To celebrate 85 years of company history, CIFA has set up a museum/showroom which has the hard task of condensing the company's history, products and innovations in the concrete constructions world into just a few square metres. Access to the museum is through a glass tunnel, which offers visitors an introduction to the history of CIFA along a series of photographic panels which tell of the company's evolution through the evolution of its products and the key players in different periods. The display panels proceed into the museum, mixing with the tales of some important historical events in Italy and around the world, during the growth years of CIFA
On the opposite side, the display panels tell of the evolution of site work through the most important infrastructure works carried out using CIFA equipment in different periods. In the centre of the exhibition space there are two vintage machines: one of the first truck mixers, the Transmixer 800 from 1967 and the first concrete pump, the AP50D from 1970. Also in the centre is a miniature scene with models of products in the current CIFA and Zoomlion ranges, perfectly integrated and complementary in all construction machinery segments.
CIFA inaugurates the Testing European Centre
In 2013, the year celebrating 85 years since the foundation of CIFA and five years since the acquisition by the Zoomlion Group, CIFA inaugurated the TEC (Testing European Centre), a centre where experimental activities and tests are carried out on machine bodywork and components. This centre, developed in collaboration with Milan Polytechnic, is the jewel in the crown of CIFA's Research and Development, which also has a new external area for machine testing, aiming to develop reliable machines that ensure the longest possible life cycle. Yet another tangible added value that CIFA customers can measure through quality products that are always top of the range.
